Official Opening of net zero housing project in Kent
Square Gain led the net zero requirements for Square Circle Development’s new project
There's lots of talk about net zero, but seems far less actual action. That's why it was so good to be on-site today at a real net zero housing development in Kent.
Square Gain Director Greg Chant-Hall had the pleasure of attending the official opening of the Driftwood Mews, a new net zero homes development in Westgate-On-Sea by @SirRogerGale, MP for North Thanet.
The 23 homes by Square Circle Developments highlights how simple measures done well, can achieve great results. The project used well insulated building fabric, photovoltaics, air source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and importantly a keen eye for detail and quality craftsmanship.
Not only will the project be delivering super-low running costs and net zero carbon in operation, the properties are also light, airy, and spacious, with great acoustics and a top-end feel. All in all hats off to Graham Ross and the Square Circle team for the tenacity delivering such a great project!
